My kind of Democrat

Governor Richardson of New Mexico was elected in 2002 and since then has cut the state's income tax to 4.9% from 8.2% and cut the capital gains tax in half. This has resulted in a 1/2 billion surplus fueled by a 27% increase in revenues. He says the Democrats need to be a party of growth rather than one of redistribution. If he gets the Democrat nomination for President, I may vote for him if John McCain runs against him. That would be a first for me.
