Unintended consequences

The U.S. Commission of Civil Rights has a report out on the effect of affirmative action on blacks in law schools. It should come as no surprise to anyone that all the efforts of these law schools to admit blacks in preference to more qualified applicants has resulted in fewer black lawyers than would have otherwise been realized.
